My name is Jordanna Egan and I am truly thrilled to have your child in my class at Tropical Elementary this year. This will be my fifteenth year teaching, and my sixth year teaching second grade.
I am a FUN teacher. I talk in different silly voices, dance and sing, wear silly hats, crowns, masks, and glasses. Your child may even say I put on a mustache! I know that I need to capture my students’ attention, and keep it. I integrate technology into all of the subjects I teach. I know that the children of today are not the children we were many years ago. Times have changed and, as teachers, we need to constantly evolve to meet the learning styles of our students. In addition to contributing to your child's academic success this year, I will also be coaching him or her to be a dynamic, great citizen. I am a big enforcer of proper manners and etiquette.
One of my strengths is communication. I promise to always make you aware of what your child is learning in class. I am constantly looking for new resources to enhance learning outside of the classroom to share with you. I deeply care about all of my students and their academic success.
