Rock Star Update 1/16/18

​Good Morning, 

I am off campus today, and at a training, but wanted to send out a quick e-mail with a couple of important reminders. 

Happy New Year:  My resolution this year is to give more time to my own family. I will check e-mails and text messages until 3, Monday-Friday.  These Rock Star Update e-mails, weekly newsletters, and my website, will answer the majority of your questions. 

Homework: i-Ready is your child's nightly homework. They should be doing at least one Reading lesson (tutorial, practice, quiz) each night. We will take a diagnostic later on this month, and I will share the results with you via e-mail. In addition to i-Ready, your child should be reading every night.  In their green folder you will find the story of the week.  Additionally, if you elected to get a book sent home, that book will go with the story of the week, and be on your child's level. 

The 100th Day of School: The 100th day of school is coming up!  There is a discrepancy as to when it is, but as of now it is scheduled for 2/12.  Your child should dress up as if they are 100 years old!  It's really the cutest thing to see!!!  Goodwill is a great place to pick up some gear, and don't forget your own closets! Feel free to bring in 100 of anything to share that day, but it is not mandatory.

Copy Paper and Card Stock: I am out of copy paper and card stock, if you did not bring it in at the beginning of the year, please feel free to send it in now.  We definitely could use it. 

Website: For some reason the internet won't let me access my website right now, so I have attached this week's newsletter for those of you who had children out of school last Friday.  I did not leave a note for the sub to ensure your children check their mailboxes, so find it attached to here!
